I celebrated my birthday today! It was a nice one.
Mike loves to take granola bars for his snack at work. Buying the pre-packaged ones are a bit expensive, not to mention all the packaging that they are in. So I decided to try making my own, and they were so much fun to make and easy! Today I tried one and loved it. These are apricot-coconut-almond, but I'll be able to play around and make different flavors. I got the recipe and instructions to make those here.
I got to go see my friend Korin who is also a chiropractioner. This was my very first time ever receiving a chiropractic adjustment. The cracking part totally made me gasp but I feel much better now! After, I felt very sleepy so Jake and I went home and had a 1.5 hour nap together. Bliss.
Then my evening was filled with flowers!! First, I got these pretty roses from Mike.
Then my friend Sara Beth brought me these.
Next these were delivered to my doorstop, sent by my parents.
Then Sara and I went to play tennis.
Came home, and the 3 of us had a wonderful dinner of artichokes, halibut, brown rice, and broccoli with 'cheesy' sauce. Yum.
Jake settled in to watch a movie while I worked on this blog post.
Serious watching face.
Thank you to everyone who sent birthday wishes!!
