No ponytail this time

I think this is the longest Jake has gone without a haircut except for when he was born to the time of his first haircut (and other than the at-home bang-trimming). His hair was getting long enough that I was starting to see that it could be cute long, so, being the hippie mother that I am, I tried to convince Jake to grow his hair long -- "don't you want to try putting it in a ponytail?" But Jake was having none of that. "Haircut!" he demanded. It's his hair, so I scheduled an appointment (finally).

It's cute, but is the same haircut he tends to get. I think next time I'll let it grow a bit long again and then have the hairdresser shape it.

Boy Hair

I'm amazed at how fast Jake's hair grows, and how often I have to take him to get his hair cut (unlike me, but we won't talk about that).

What's great is that he actually LOVES going to get a haircut now, the place he goes to is full of toys and his hairdresser, Julie, is so wonderful with him. When I informed him he was going to get a haircut, he said "plane," and I figured out he wanted to sit in the airplane chair this time -- which is amazing because he remembered it and because he has always sat in the red car before, never the airplane. So this time he sat in the airplane and had a great time.

Hair FUN!

Today we decided to go to Bishops for haircuts. It is a walk-in place and the hairdressers all have cool/edgy hair and tattoos.
