Mini Vacation

At the end of spring break week, we spent a long weekend in central Oregon. After arriving Thursday night, we woke up Friday morning to snow!!

Throwing snowballs.

No, not at Mommy!
Yes, throw them at Daddy.
The next day it was 60 degrees and the snow completely melted. So it was time for bike riding.
Here we are riding back home after swimming in the indoor pool. All good and perfect for a very active little boy!

Messy

Jake and I invited Ruby and her mama over for a messy playdate. For this messy playdate, I used steel-cut oatmeal (I have way too much of it, and only really enjoy it in the summertime, and Mike and Jake won't touch it).

Both kids enjoyed it! Ruby was playing happily on the floor with Jake but then wandered off by the time I got my camera.

I hadn't gotten a picture of these birthday twins for awhile! They're really growing!

It's all about the pajamas

Yesterday I picked Jake up from school. His teacher happened to have a free moment and so she told me a little tidbit from the day:

Teacher: Today we were talking about what we have in our bedrooms. The other kids were saying things like "nightstand" or "lamp." When it was Jake's turn, he very enthusiastically said "polar bear pajamas!!!"

She thought that was hilarious. He really does love his pajamas.

Dragon Shirt

A few months ago I made a dragon shirt for Mike (long story). He loves it.

Then Jake had been watching a 'Max and Ruby' cartoon where Max wants, and eventually gets, a dragon shirt. Jake started declaring that he wanted a dragon shirt, especially after Daddy showed him the one he has.

Remembering that I still had a dragon leftover from making Mike's shirt, I got a shirt for Jake and put the dragon on it. He was THRILLED.

So here are my 2 boys in their dragon shirts.
I got the dragons from Bamboo Village Press (created by a friend of mine), and just ironed them onto the shirts.

Nose

It's the wrong season to look like Rudolph!
This one was running inside his school, tripped, and got rug burn on his nose. How do boys do such things? It will look interesting for awhile!

Cozy

Sometimes a boy just needs his mama and mama needs to make dinner...

Yes, he's 35+ pounds and I can still put him on my back!
