The Little Reader

Jake loves books. He loves to read both with his parents and on his own. Right now some of his favorite books include Where's Spot?, Midnight Moon, The Very Busy Spider, and That's Not My Puppy!

In these pictures he's reading Where's Spot? with Daddy.

What was YOUR favorite childhood book? I remember loving The Pokey Little Puppy.

Mike's lunch today. Sandwich of cibatta bread with dijon mustard, spinach, tomatoes, and a spread of mashed white beans with olive oil, salt, and rosemary. Small jar of cashews. Carrot and red bell pepper sticks. Oatmeal-walnut-chocolate chip cookies.

It's a good thing he didn't forget his lunch today as it is a long work day today and he probably won't be home til around 8pm.

P.S. After seeing today's blog my mom pointed out that Jake is wearing the same outfit for the last 3 blog posts. I would like to clarify that I took all those pictures on the same day and he has not been wearing the same outfit 3 days in a row. :)

I liked "Where the Wild Things Are" and "Riki-tiki-tembo no-sah rembo cherry-berry ruchi pip-berry-pembo". I don't think it's called that whole thing though. I can't find that book anywhere.

Your food photos make me hungry.

Where the Wild Things Are is a great book! Also In the Night Kitchen. Haven't heard of the Riki-tiki book, but it sounds fun.

My food photos make me hungry, too.
